...Sweetest Goodbye...

"Where you are seems to be, as far as an eternity. Outstretched arms open hearts, and if it never ends then when do we start? And with a tear in my eye, give me the sweetest goodbye that I ever did receive..."

A really great song off Maroon 5's first album, Songs About Jane, and it's called "Sweetest Goodbye." Well, I chose that particular song because 1.) My iTunes list of songs with the word "Goodbye" in it is very limited, and 2.) This is going to be my very last blog. But not to worry if you're one of my six readers (haha, just kidding), you can still follow my writing on my new spin-off website (if you can call it that) at www.revelationtherapy.weebly.com. I'm not going to blog about my life anymore, but the site mostly contains funny articles about everyday life and some of the morons in it. =D It's my philosophical perspective on life, the universe, and everything. ^_^

I know it's been more than 3 months since my last post, but trust me - I have been über bust at campus. The good news is that I passed everything. =) The bad news is that my friends and I didn't get accepted into Medicine. My friend Ananzi missed it by 0.3%, which a very harsh way to get knocked over by the University Selection Bulldozer if you ask me. I know she's tough competition, and as a normal Medicine competitor I shouldn't be saying this for fear of decreasing my chances of being accepted, but really - they should have taken her in this semester. 0.3 - The number of a cup of blueberries containing 25 calories; the percentage of men that are flexible enough to give themselves an orgasm (ewwww, desperate much?); 0.3% is also the percentage of the population that owns a Smartphone or Galaxy Tablet and according to Youtube, it is also the amount of the population that are Jews. Random, I know.

Since second semester started again on Monday, you might ask yourself where do I have time to blog? Well, today I didn't go to campus beceause of a very sad story: I don't have transport to University anymore, because my transport driver replaced me as she thought I wasn't travelling with her anymore. I told her I won't be travelling with her in the exams only, but anyway... Now I'm stuck for transport. =( Sure, I have my driver's license, but it will cost me twice the amount instead of using a lift club. And my parents won't let me start my own lift club to earn money, because I only got my license in March, and since then I have only driven once to campus in traffic. =( Sad sad story, now can anyone give me a ride? Of course I will pay!

Haha and last Tuesday I almost took my thumb off when I tried to make a pasta white sauce for my aunt. The knife got stuck in the butter, and then yeah... don't ask... I can't use my left hand anymore, because it hurts to use my thumb, and being human we need our damn apposable thumbs just to hold a cup.

Hmmm, the 16th was my birthday and I had the whole gang over. We had a lot of fun, and they finished all the food in my house! Plus my sister bought me my first pair of heeled boots! =P My conclusion of that day: Don't watch the movie Due Date. It's wrong in so many ways...

Current Mood: Very stressed about University, my transport problems and everything else.

Current Music: It's a tie between three cool pop=dance sogns:
- 'She's A Cougar' by CJ Baran (the lyrics are so funny)
- 'I Like To Dance' by Hot Chelle Rae (good exercise for your pelvic bone)
- The latest song by Maroon 5, 'Moves Like Jagger' featuring XTina!

Current Quote: Well, The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy is such a funny book, so I had to take a quote from the movie.
Marvin: Life? Don't talk to me about life!

Well, this is it fellow lunatics. From now on, catch me on my website www.revelationtherapy.weebly.com

Feel free to send me junk and other important crap on it =D

"Say goodbye and fly away. When you come back, I have something to say. Give me the sweetest goodbye..."

Someone To Fall Back On

I'm not going to lie, life is not going good at the moment. If I'm not constantly studying then I'm constantly failing or hurting a friend without my knowledge, or getting hurt and all that jazz. And then it gets even more confusing because everyone will tell you that you're the nicest person ever, and you could be someone to fall back on - but it's starting to be really hard to keep putting people before myself. So here I start, with an Alyson Michalka cover of "Someone To Fall Back On":

"You'll never see any scars or wounds - I dont walk on coals, I wont walk on water: I am no prince, I am no saint, I am not anyone's wildest dream. But I will stand behind and be someone to fall back on..."

Like they say - you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Campus is very hectic, and I am really starting to hate my course. So much, that I am considering blowing up the Dean's office with a bag of peanuts and a stun gun. Okay, maybe that would work better in my mind. But still. I know I was never cut out for Science or Commerce - a creative future, where do I sign up? - but I had no idea trying to get into Medicine at this particular torture chamber would be so... to put it plainly, DEPRESSING. My cousin is studying Medicine elsewhere and they are not doing the slightest bit of Physis or rough Chemistry like my friends and I are. Wait wait wait, this is all wrong. I'm not one to talk about my own feelings, so let's get down to blog business.

Campus closed last Friday for 9 days and counting - the worst study break ever. And then it's 5 tests when I get back. Ah, the joys of a higher education. That hobo on the corner by the bakery is starting to look really intelligent right now. My Sunshine from high school is working at a Photography place this year, and she and her colleagues routinely burst into work assignments, by travelling the world with recently hired cute boys at the firm. Now that, my fellow readers, is the life.

I went out for lunch with my sister last Tuesday and Thursday, who also seems to be living the life: relaxing in restaurants with a table next to David Bowie, going for U2 concerts, opening your door in Monaco to see Lady gaga's face, visiting London and Turkey, attending fashion shows... Plus, her 21st birthday is coming up, so I wonder what's going to happen then, and how she's going to shock me into self-pity this time. After all, the best prize is a surpise. Also, a ticket to Paris never hurt anybody.

Jason X's birthday is the day before my sister's birthday, and figuring out what to get him is one mission Jason Bourne and James Bond would never be able to accomplish.
And, I just discovered that Mother's Day is next Sunday - whoopee, I haven't gotten the Witch Bitch anything as yet, so now I am royally screwed. Besides, an ex-student of my mother's (who also happens to be the gang's friend) assured me that she also thought my mother was not the nicest jellytot in the pack, making her one horrible former teacher. Thank you for making me feel less crazy ex-student.

Besides, what DO you get a dragon for a HUMAN mother's day?

Yesterday my family and I went to my favourite game reserve for the 3rd time, where we got locked in during my first 2 visits. The first time (when I was about 9) a rhino charged the car, and my crazy dad was videoing this while reversing the vehicle. So we were late for the gate 6pm closing.
The second visit was 2 years ago, and we were on our way to the gate when about 15-20 elephants blocked the path to have an intense physical fight. Yeah, I saw elephants trying to kill each other, and we had to go back the way we had come and try to find another gate. By the time we found another exit, the gates were already locked.
But, 3rd time's the lucky charm. It was raining before gate closing time yesterday, so there were no animals to be seen after 4pm and we made it out of the gate (sadly) without a story.

Ah, the dreaded feeling has started to come back, so that's my cue to return to studying. One last thing, I am sorry for unintentionally hurting my friend, especially since we're not supposed to be stressing or feeling bad over this study break. Not that the word "unintentional" makes the situation any less better, but making people sad was not high on my bucket list. Again, I am sorry friend. I hope we can work things out when I see you for real. =)

Current Mood: Dread, stress, insomniatic, hungry, tired, up-and-down and happy in the absence of Physics. Borderline Existentialist, sort of.

Current Music: Anybody who hates or likes R&B should Youtube Jason Chen. He does the best covers, and his friend, Megan Lee, puts Justin Bieber to shame. I mean it - it sounds as if Justin Bieber stole HER vocal cords! He even did a cool "Nothin' On You/Breakeven" mashup (by Bruno Mars and The Script respectively).

Also, I have to give props to the best undiscoevered electro band, "Cash Cash". Their latest album, "Love Or Lust" came out only days ago, and I know that they rock simply because the lyrics in this entire album are so filthy and wrong, that I would never ever listen to anything like it. Every song contains the word "dirty" in it, or something relating to sex, yet I am actually listening to this album. That's how I know a good potential band when I see one. My top 5 favourite songs off the album:

5. One Night Stand

4. Jaw Drop

3. Dirty Lovin' (do you see how raw all the song titles are?!)

2. Sexin' On The Dancefloor

1. And my all-time favourite, Victim Of Love

Please check out these songs, especially the last 3. You ears might thank me for it.

Current Quote: "You're a parenthesis..." - from the film Up In The Air, which basically means the person who tells you that thinks you're nothing but an afterthought.

"And Im the one who's looking for a favour. Still, honestly, you don't believe me. But the things I have are the things you need. I'll be the one who waits, and for as long as youll let me I will be the one you need. I'll be someone to fall back on"

Maybe it's time to put my judgement aside and learn to take things as they come. Maybe I should do what my friend Gold says and let things happen. Puh-lease! As if Jason X's present is just going to fall from the sky, or with time my sister will move back, or I may just pass Physics, or that there's a possibility people would just know when and what I want. Maybe there's a possibiblity I would know what I want, career wise. Or everything else.

Perhaps I should stop worrying about everyone and everything else, and start to open up. Maybe I too just need someone to fall back on.

The Great Escape

Wow, it feels so good to be back. I've been away for over two months, even my computer has wiped blogspot from its history. So, let me start off as I always do, with a song one knows and a kickass message half of South Africa is too lazy to think about:

"It's goodbye but we got one more night. Let's get drunk and ride around, and make peace with an empty town. We can make it right... Throw it away! Forget yesterday! We'll make the great escape. We won't hear a word they say, they don't know us anyway. Watch it burn, let it die coz we are finally free tonight..."
Yes, as odd as it may seem I am referring to the best years, the free days - GETTING A DEGREE WHILST BALANCING YOUR DRINK AND ECONOMICS TEXTBOOK (Or in Lamen's terms, COLLEGE) by using this awesome song by Boys Like Girls, titled "The Great Escape." Obviously, duh, or as my friend Gold (from University) likes to put it, "No shit Sherlock."

Well, let me fill you in on everything that happened since my drunken escapades. So, on the 6th January (my last blog post) I got inebriated (to put it nicely) and then on the 22nd, the whole gang went out together, to celebrate our last time of being this close before University started. Well, all I'm allowed to say is that vegetarian Jason X had an allergic reaction to Salmon pasta and was hospitilized, which could have been prevented if anybody at the table knew the difference between Penne pasta and Spaghetti. Needless to say, I did know the difference but I was outside the restaurant chatting to my long lost sister... Moving on, Orientation Week then started on the 31st January and ended on the 11th February, which was a total waste of time and extremely exhausting. However, Mahogany and I did use the pain to make new friends before campus actually started - on Valentine's day. So, to sum up, the whole gang (Wicked, Charlie Chick, Mahogany, Jason X and I) are attending the same University, except for Hiro who is at a different University with Nee-Chan, about an hour away. Plus, my best friend Mahogany has been transferred to another campus of the University, so the only time I ever see her is when I look at my Facebook wall. Very sad indeed. There are so many cute - maybe H.O.T - guys at campus, but that's all I'm gonna say, because there's a possibility a specific guy is reading this. And I think he likes my close from campus, whose name I can't mention in this post.

Moving on, Wicked (who is studying Electronic Engineering, or Electrical who knows) told me there's a shop named after him at a beach resort he stayed at over the December holidays, and I promised to put this picture up:

So there you have it, Wicked is inevitably famous and he has a girlfriend now, who's very sweet. =)

On the 27 February, it was my favourite and insane cousin's 18th birthday, and we went to a club - both our first times. It was a very cool experience, save for the part where some creepy Indian guy grabbed me and tried to sweet-talk me. We only got home at 7:30am! Whoa, thank heavens I stayed by her house that day, otherwise this blog would have ended due to the fact that its crazy writer was slaughtered by her strict parents...

I've been learning to drive ever since I got my Learner's Licence on January 13, and it's been taking up all of my free time, escpecially the time I needed for studying. Yes, I'm talking about you, you horrible Chemistry mark. By the way, I decided to study Biological Sciences and take my chances to get into Medicine, which is the reason I am studying at with Charlie Chick and them. Thus, the haunting of Physics continues, but atleast it's only for six months - and then I might get accepted into Medicine... I hope... And my other news is that on Friday I passed my Driver's Test. Yay, I guess. Everybody seems excited except me. Forgive me for being more stressed about my grades to get into Medicine, than some green paper stating that I can now drive without my dad in the car. or maybe I'm still in shock about the fact that they actually gave a klutzy-nut like me a licence. My family is still in shock people.

Hmmm, to conclude, let me attempt to humour you with my klutzy moments at University, or as my friends put it, SHEER BAD LUCK, followed by the quote, "IT COULD ONLY HAPPEN TO ME..."

1. I sat a few rows behind my crush, and when the class emptied I moved to sit next to him. As I sat down next to his hotliness, he gets up and moves to the exact seat in the back, where I was sitting five minutes before.
2. Everyday I freeze atleast one computer in the library. A day without this occurring, is a day wasted.
3. My flash drives never respond or work on the computer I use, but seem to register on my friends' computers in the library.
4. My driving instructor even told me that I have bad luck, and that my mother should pray for me.
5. You know it's going to rain the day I pitch up in class wearing sandals and shorts, with a bag that suddenly breaks in the Physics lecture.
6. I have a full cellphone battery in the morning, I need transport home and suddenly my battery is low, and then I get home and it's a full battery again.
7. The day I acutally bring my wallet to buy a milkshake or ice-cream is the day there's a massive power outage in the city, so no frozen foods are available. For 3 days. (I don't bring my purse everyday because I have such bad luck, I might lose it)
8. Having no sense of direction doesn't help when your transport driver wants you to walk to the other side of campus with a guy you know hates you, because you have no idea where to go and he's the only one who does.
9. Did I mention I always have to sort out a query with my Physics Head, on the days she's cranky. Which happens to be whenever I need to speak to her.
10. I swear I'm not the reason the lifts and student card systems aren't working. contrary to what my family and friends say.
11. Yes, that is me running to the wrong class with a broken shoe because traffic made me late.
12. No, I'm not having a bad day; my hair iron just refuses to work on the days I need to speak to my crush.
13. No, I didn't ask my mother to pack Tuna salad when I have a 2-hour chance to speak to him.
14. Why does my watch stop working when I'm about to write a test and need the time, then miraculously begin to work again when I get home?
15. Yip, I did lose all my stationary on the first day of campus and almost get knocked over by cars.
16. No, I am not a pessimist (no matter what my friend Gold says), I refuse to go with the flow, maybe I do stress too much but I still remain a generally happy person, even though my alarm clock forgets to work, my calculator is apparently faulty and my driving is so cursed, only I can find traffic at four-way stops in quiet streets.
17. Don't even get me started on all the bad things I do to my lab partners in Chemistry. For example, knocking over their test results...

Cute guy, if you are reading this, you're in for one hell of a wake-up call with air-hockey machines at the mall going out of order, and me tripping on everything flat (so don't walk near me when it's raining)

Current Mood: If you thought school was tough, try a day at varisty. Whoever invented it ought to be shot. 'Nuff said.

Current Music: "Bad Romance" by Artist Vs. Poet (Lady Gaga cover) The electric guitar in the beginning is awesome, as is My Chemical Romance's "Famous Last Words."

Current Quote: I am seriously addicted to the movie Real Genius (Val Kilmer was a total hottie) and all the witty quotes. For example:-
Professor Hathaway: Chris, I need to see more of you in the lab.
Chris: Fine, I'll gain weight.

That's it for now, if you need more I'll drive (because I'm legal now) to the nearest internet cafe and find a computer that isn't frozen.

Until I knock myself into the Chemistry lab table, accidentally splash hydrochloric acid on myself and spill iodine solution all over my answer sheets again, this is it for now. I didn't burn myself with the acid, in case you were concerned, or not.

ex oh ex oh

Nothin' But A Good Time versus Raise Your Glass

Hahaha, where to start? First of all, I just found out it's only ten in the morning yet I feel like I'm walking around at half-past three in the afternoon. Okay, I promised you results and a story, so here goes. Let me start off with a song as I always do...
"I'm always workin' slavin' every day" - this part describes me well. "Gotta get a break from the same old same old. I need a chance just to get away, if you could hear me think this is what I'd say: Don't need nothin' but a good time. How can I resist? Ain't lookin' for nothin' but a good time, and it don't get better than this..." Thank you to rock legends Poison for such general drunk thinking in their lyrics 'Nothin' But A Good Time', although the Teddy Geiger cover is much hotter.
Then, I realised I couldn't decide between this song and Pink's, "Raise Your Glass." Hope it fits: "So raise your glass if you are wrong, in all the right ways. All my underdogs, we will never be never be anything but loud and nitty gritty, dirty little freaks. Won't you come on and come on and raise your glass, just come on and come on and raise your glass!" Totally kickass song!

Okay, so yesterday I got the verdict: I got six A's!!! Whoopee, and I don't know how it happened, but I actually got an A in Maths for the first time in my entire teenage life. Think: 5 highschool years, 20 terms and a lot of D's and C's for Maths. Then boom! A big fat A; I could cry but my granny already did that while I was trying to read my friends' results. And I increased by more than 25% in Physics - I needed only 5% to get an A! Yessis, that was awesome because I thought I was gonna fail Physics yo. But of course, my Science Teacher dad didn't seem happy with my results, and I was a bit upset that the parentals weren't going to let me see my sister yesterday. My granny told me today that she convinced them to let me go out with my sister last night. And this is where the story starts:

First, my parents took my grandparents and I out for lunch yesterday and that was really nice. Plus, my grandfather gave me quite a big some of money yesterday. He told me in September that he would give me a thousand bucks for every distinction that I managed. Thank goodness that didn't happen, because I would never ever take six thousand rand from an old man, but he did give me a smaller amount, thank the Chivalry Lord. Okay, so after a bunch of phonecalls and a billion texs about my results, I eventually managed to get changed at 4pm to go and meet with my sister. So I get to the mall at 6pm, and my parents just drop me off in the parking lot because they'd apparently "lose it" if they had to walk me in and see my sister with her boyfriend the anti-Christ. Then, I greet my sister - let's just refer to her as Mrs. Depp from now onwards - and we walk to the other side of the mall where her boyfriend, his band mates and a couple of other strangers are sitting and having a few drinks. That's where it pretty much went all wrong. My sister tells her BF that I got six A's, and then one woman hears, then a guy, then another guy, and soon the entire table has this brilliant idea to celebrate my nerdy achievements by ordering one too many. The waitress first brings me a lemonade (with I think Southern Comfort in it) - twas pointless coz it tasted like lemonade on crack if that could ever happen. Then the first shot comes, and it's three layers of brown and cream, and another layer of plain stupidity. Utterly gross gross gross. Then they all order more drinks for themselves, and decide to bring my sister and I as a celebratory drink (I think) a Jameson 'On The Rocks' and that was alright, I guess.
Now, if you think about it, by then I should have already gotten tipsy. I mean, I only ate five hours before, and I never had a glass of water or anything since 2pm. By 8pm I felt like I was going to fall off the Himalayas. And then more shots come. The rest of the strangers left, because they had to work today or show a straight face for their boss or spouses. So, it's only the band mates and my sister and I left. And one random stranger guy. So we head to another place IN another place, and by now my sister had to hold my hand to help me cross the road. Heck, Charlie Chick helps me cross the road when I'm sober and now...
I get a text from a friend saying 'Congratulations' on my results. I start walking sideways while texting, and manage to type in English.

So, we get to the other place which is right near the mall we were at before. I forgot my ID (stupid ass me) and we almost couldn't get in, until my sister and boyfriend were telling the bouncer they'd call his manager because he just let a bunch of teenage girls behind him in. He asks me to recite my ID number and in my dizziness I manage to say it confidently. When we walk inside the large square, I see about five twelve year olds walking around with their parents. AND I WASN'T ALLOWED IN?! We sit outside under a student bar's cover, and it's pouring insanely around us. I start to think that I'm holding myself pretty well for a first time "drinker drinker", and I actually start to believe it when the tipsiness starts to disappear from my system and I can see clearly now "the rain is gone". Sorry, just had to add that song in. Then, my sister tells me to order something to drink and I tell her I don't want anything, because I'm just starting to sober up. But everyone wants me to celebrate this one time for doing something so great that "the rest of them were too high to ever try attempting in school." The anti-Christ boyfriend buys me a Mango Brutal Fruit, and it's just like a juice - except conked - so I still couldn't see what the point of alcohol was, when God invented the Electronic Juicer (available from all retail outlets). It starts to rain again and gets really windy, so we go inside the bar and sit in a corner table away from the cold outside. Then, the guys order more shots and everyone does a weird toast and that's just the string of many drinks I can't remember having. Another Mango Brutal Fruit lands in my lap, and then the barman pours a weird blue drink down everyone's throats, and more shots come. I have to say, the conversation was good, and so was the company - the feeling? Not so much. Then everybody keeps testing me on the talent I told you about, and they're asking me really big words and even though I'm almost drunk, I still manage to say how many letters are in the words pretty accurately. But I'm not so far gone that I don't remember I have an 11pm curfew.

So, by 10:30pm, Mrs. Depp and the anti-Christ decide to take me home. When we stand up to leave, I suddenly get this urge to dance on the table (I don't know why). But luckily, Mrs. Depp pulls my arm and we say our goodbyes to everybody. We start walking but everything is a blur, though I do remember trying prufusely to convince Mrs. Depp that I'm not drunk and can walk perfectly on my own. I remeber thinking, "This is how that girl felt in Fame when she got drunk and rapped on the bench. I starred as a girl who got drunk in a Grade Ten play, and now I realise I played my character all wrong and too sober. Though, in a book I wrote when I was 14, the lead character gets drunk, and the dialogue I wrote is very exact, and I sound just like her right now." Suddenly I blink and we're walking on the road. A man in the shadows greets me and I really feel stupid and scared for not carrying a cleaver at that moment. Then, I blink again and you know what? It feels like someone hit me on the head with a giant book, and all the chapters fell out because I don't remember what happened after I saw the shadow-man. I stare out the window and suddenly I'm fifteen minutes away from home, and the road signs are blurred, and the street lights look like a scene from that alien movie Signs. The car is moving too slow and yet too fast, and I'm actually pinching myself to wake up and grabbing my arm violently, but the pain is so light it's like I'm imagining it. I start to speak and I sound like a Britis person, and Mrs. Depp and anti-Christ are laughing at me and talking to me and I start yelling at them, then I have a long long LOOOOOONG conversation with them, not rememebring what I said. If you, like me, haven't been drunk before, let me tell you how it feels:

It feels like a dream, where you can say or do anything - even stupid - and no one will care because drunk people have a right to plain stupidity. I told myself a billion times, "Don't say that. Don't say that! You'll sound like an idiot!" I try to tell my conscience, "Okay, I won't say it" and then I just end up blurting out all the twisted thoughts in me, Punk Goddess's mind. I try speaking sentences that start with vowels and end up stuttering like that guy in Brice Almighty. I can't finish the alphabet. I finish the alphabet and it's wrong. I see the lane to my house sloping downwards and I tell the anti-Christ to stop because the road is moving further and further away. We turn into my street, and the noises in my head are getting louder and louder. Mrs. Depp keeps asking if she has to walk me inside, over and over it goes on in my mind. She opens my door and my legs refuse to move. I literally have to throw my legs out and I think I remember by sister holding me up. I reach for the intercom button and I miss. Miraculously, the gate opens. It's 11:09pm. My sister quietly tells me to use that A I got in Drama and act sober. She tells me to act. And that's what I do.

I see my father (I think) by the door and then I don't remember what happens. We have a conversation where I try extremely hard not to laugh, then my sister levaes and the car drives away and my dad tells me to lock up because he wants to close everything. I'm not sure if he's watching me because I can't see a thing behind or next to me. I reach for the lock, and stumble like that for a few minutes. I manage to lock the door (somehow) and my dad closes his bedroom door. I find my room and then realise I can't find my handbag. I find it right next to me, close my room door and start throwing off my clothes. I remeber knocking into everything in my room, trying with extreme effort to put my pyjamas on. I put my legs into the holes of the shorts; I use the mirror to put my top on. I reach and reach for my bed. I switch my alarm on and off a couple of times, then the lights, and finally I get into bed and lie like that for a long time. I wonder if I'll get into trouble in the morning.

When I wake up, it's 6am and I'm wide awake. No matter how much I try, I can't get back to sleep. As I jump out of bed, I feel extremely good and not tired at all, and I look down at my pyjamas - I'm wearing them backwards. When I walk into the kitchen, I'm not thirsty at all like you're supposed to feel after drinking so much. I see my father, and he doesn't even greet or look at me, or ask me about last night or if I was drunk. I thnik he knows.

Ironically, tonight's movie on TV is The Hangover, and it's almost lunchtime yet I have not had a hangover. At all. I feel so full of energy, I'd drink more but I hate the out-of-control feeling you get when you're drunk. No hangover? Full of energy? Sobered up? This is perfect. Lord, I know I'm Agnostic, but if you can hear me - I AM NEVER DRINKING AGAIN.

Current Mood: Hangover-less, happy and not wanting to see dear daddy when he comes back from work...

Current Music: I have the song, funny enough, "You Look Better When I'm Drunk" by the White Tie Affair, running through my head.

Current Quote: "I'm not drunk! I promise you Mrs. Depp. See? I'll prove it - I can walk straight for you." (Almost walks into a wall)

ADVERT: "Did you have no water and thousands of drinks last night, and you've got a severe hangover? I think you've found my missing hangover. Just call Punk Goddess." AKA Me. =D

"You see I raise a toast to all of us who are breakin' our backs every day. If wantin' the good life is such a crime, Lord, then put me away. Here's to ya. Ain't lookin' for nothin' but a good time, and it don't get better than this..."

Celebration

HAPPY FUDGING NEW YEAR everybody!!! Wow! The blog is two years old already, (Happy Belated Birthday by the way if anyone cares) and the year is over. Time flew so fast. In about a month I'm going to start university and in two days I will be receiving my final school report results...

Let's recap what happened since my last post:

"It's time to come together, it's up to you, what's your pleasure? Everyone around the world - come on! There's a party goin' on right here, a celebration to last throughout the years. So bring your good times, and your laughter too. We gonna celebrate your party with you..." I don't care if it's old. When I was on the dancefloor, and Kool & The Gang's "Celebration" came on, I got chills up my spine. 2011 IS FINALLY HERE!!!

So, after my last post (the 12th December) I had to tend to visitors on a regular basis. Some clean, some not so hygienic, and some very demanding and lazy. Then, a week before Christmas, my parents and grandprents and I left for a week-long vacation to the beach. It was rather boring, me being on my own and without my sister. The highlight of my stay was riding the luggage carts late at night after walking to get ice-cream. And, one day at the beach, a bunch of Indian guys (approximately eleven or so in a group) held hands, made a chain and did the mexican wave in the water. Thereafter, they were screaming like little girls on fire when a teeny tiny wave came. It also kind of sucked, because I was squished between my grandparents in the backseat, and for the whole eight hour trip I didn't sleep at all - even coming back home. It was awful! Because there were five of us travelling, there was no space in the trunk to put mine and my dad's boogey-boards. So, for the first time in almost six years I had to go to the beach and actually SWIM SWIM like in the shallow end. Naturally, I always get swearing by the lifeguards over the intercom because I either go too near the rocks or I go too deep in the water. Even with my board the lifeguards always refer to me as that, "Girl in the deep end getting pulled away can you please come back to the shore..."
And being daring me, I swam in the water even though there were rumours of blue-bottle jellyfish all week long. Besides, whenever my dad or I saw the jellyfish on the shore, we picked them up like the good citizens we are and buried them in the sand so no one would get stung. Fellyjish are real funny balloon-headed creatures.

When we got back home, it was Christmas Eve and none of my family was around so we sat at home. Of course, things never changed - not even on Christmas - and the Witch Bitch made me clean the entire house and screamed at me a lot. Don't you just love the holidays? Then, her mother came and stayed for about the 23rd time this year (and that's after June) and messed my bathroom just after I spent 45 minutes cleaning it. When I say mess, I mean the kind of stuff you find in public bathrooms. I hate it when my mother's mother stays over. I'd complain more but I'd need more blog space.

Luckily, my cousin asked me to join her and her friends on New Year's Eve, and my parents actually let me go. I mean, they don't approve of me not spending Xmas (even though we're Hindu)or New Year's without them. That was a real shocker that my dad let me go. We went to this lounge-club-restaurant thing, and it was so much of fun! We were dancing and there was a drunk guy who was friend's with my cousin's cousin's friend at work, and his name was Peter and he was smooching some random lady and a bunch of people I don't know were dancing next to me and our waitress was passed out after midnight and the others were smoking a cherry filled Hooka pipe and the music was awesome and yeah... It was pretty funny. Plus, I drank. Me. Can you imagine? Me. They served a glass of champagne an hour before the food came, and that had already made me so tipsy. When the food came, my cousin ordered a Strawberry Daquiri for me and it was utterly gross, as was the champagne. While we were dancing we all had a Sours shooter, I think that's what it was called and that was okay I guess. I'm still sticking to my Chocolate Milkshake thank you very much. Alcohol is gross, like medicine gross.

Now, I'm at home and I have decided to continue writing a book I started in Grade Ten. I'm trying to get my mind off the fact that results are coming out in two days' time. I already had a nightmare about failing Maths Paper 3, and I need to get about six distinctions otherwise I know the people counting on me are gonna give it to me. Teachers in my old school have been counting on me since 2007. Can you imagine being in Grade Nine and already having to think about graduating highschool with atleast six A's??? No, you can't sweety, because that's like a toddler having to plan his Pension Fund on his fifth birthday! Two days... Wish me luck.
"I wish you the best of luck!"
Why, thank you conscience.
"No problemo Darling."

Current Mood: Freaking the freak out! (It's a song by Victoria Justice as well, haha...)

Current Music: "Spotlight" by FALL OUT BOY'S lead singer, Patrick Stump. I cannot wait for his new solo album to come out, even though my favourite band FALL OUT BOY is taking a break and may just disband. Either way, it's Patrick's time to shine out of hottie Pete Went's selfish spotlight!

Current Quote: "People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas" and also, "The object of a new year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul" - G K Chesterton.Have a great year guys, hope you all fulfill your new year's resolutions. I will blog again, very soon after my results are released on Thursday.
This is a new year and a new chance to get it right, so make every day count.

P.S. Everybody should throw a party on the 21st December this year, because according to the Mayan Calender Prophecy and the movie 2012, the Earth is going to go KABBOOOMS!!!

Cherry Cherry Boom Boom, all my lovely Fellyjishes

Time To Say Goodbye

"I can't keep this inside, it's time to say goodbye. Somewhere in the distance, there's a place for me to go..." I had to use this song by Simple Plan to describe it. Nothing else could come to mind. SCHOOL IS OFFCIALLY OVER and I'll never see half these people again. Goodbye jocks, goodbye spoilt bitches, goodbye cranky teachers, goodbye PE laps around the track, goodbye drama practicals, goodbye to my English teacher, goodbye creative writing, goodbye Matric gardens, goodbye school uniforms, goodbye school concerts, goodbye performing on stage, goodbye school breaks, goodbye first day of school and lastly.. Goodbye to you, my cherished friends.

Hmm.... Wow, it has been a really long time since my last post. Can you believe the year is already almost over? I offcially wrote my last school exam (hooray!) on the 26th November, and since then I am unemployed and bored out of my mind. HOLIDAY FOR THE NEXT TWO MONTHS YEAH BAYBEE!!! I've resorted to cleaning the house (but of course the Witch Bitch messed it up again) and now I even have an account on Candystand.com. I played Word Twist and Blocked yesterday for three hours, that's how jaded I am.

Hmmm, last Sunday we had a barbeque by my house and I swam, my sister came home (for about an hour) for the first time in two years. This being the first time she was there when BOTH my parents were there and it wasn't my birthday. Then on Monday the gang came over and most of us swam - it was awesome. And to think, Jason X told me he couldn't swim, yet there he was, racing Wicked, Mahogany and I like his life depended on it. Plus his girlfriend is such a sweety. They make such a cute couple, although haha Charlie Chick said I looked uncomfortable.

Then on Tuesday, Jason X and I were supposed to go jogging together, then the bum texts me at like half-seven in the morning to tell me his body is sore from swimming and he can't make it. That was a relief coz I really didn't want to get out of bed that early anyways. Then afterwards I went to stay by my aunt, (the nagger) but I had fun swimming (again) and playing with all the small kids - don't laugh. The Wii dance mat is tiring! And now I'm home, to a house filled with insurance people and guys trying to fix up all the damages from a recent storm.

I've recently become addicted to the new Nickelodeon show, Victorious. Mainly because it's something I'm addicted to - the arts, movies, actors, performers. Plus, the rain ruined my whole day yesterday and I couldn't even watch anything on TV besdies Victorious - coincidentally, Fame the movie was included in this rain-ruin-spectacular. Twas a boring movie anyway. Ooh and I love the MTV show MY LIFE AS LIZ. I just watched the second last episode today, where Liz Lee had to say goodbye to her friends, it being her last day before she left for college in New York and she left the almost love of her teenage life. Although reality TV is full of crap, it still keeps to the theme of what's going on right now. Every movie I watch seems to have a graduation theme, from I LOVE YOU BETH COOPER to HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: SENIOR YEAR to ORANGE COUNTY, to even FAME. I borrowed three books from the library and two of them had a graduation scene - the third being the exception since it was Lord Of The Rings, but even Frodo had to leave The Shire.

Ooh, yes, the talent I have that I forgot to tell you in the last blog is nothing grand. Just, you can give me any word, name, phrase or sentence (As long as I know how to spell it) and I can tell you how many letters there are in it within ten seconds. I googled it and almost everybody who had counting OCD like me could do the exact same thing, so it's not a great talent or anything. I mean, I won't end up on Oprah or anything so blah.

This Friday I'm leaving on holiday with the parentals and grandparentals (blah) to the beach, so try not to burgle me whle I'm away. And to Mr. Baggins, I'd just like to say YES I DID TAKE DOWN THOSE DISNEY POSTERS. PFFT! NOT LIKE I HAD ANY ON MY WALLS OR ANYTHING. PFFT! I AM 18 DUDE. PSSHHH.....

Oh, and I also got accepted for Chiropractry at a university about an hour-and-a-half from my home, that's about two-and-half-hours with morning and evening traffic. Which means if I go there (which is most likely, since I don't want to do Medicine that much anymore) I may have to stay at a residence (horrible) or get my own apartment with a total stranger. Yikes. I hope she doesn't snore hehe. And my Matric results are coming out on January 6, so cross your fingers I get atleast five A's, or I'm screwed. So much pressure...

And I'm planning to put purple streaks in my hair before university starts in February. How did I get permission to do this with my Hindu parents, you ask? Blackmail + Parentals = Self-satisfaction muhahahaha!!!

Current Mood: In high spirits (pun not intended you stoner)

Current Music: Offcially my favourite MCR song is "The Sharpest Lives" from their album WELCOME TO THE BLACK PARADE. "If I crash on the couch can I sleep in my clothes?" Haha love it! By the way, the new MCR album Danger Days sucks!!!!!!! Sorry Gerard Way, I love you... but nooo....

Current Quote: "The number of people watching you is directly proportional to the stupidity of the action."

Please please please pray that I passed Maths Paper 3, and Physics, and that I got A's in everything else, especially Maths and Drama.

Love and Rockets (Like Liz Lee always says)
Punk_G0ddess (aka Candystand.com addict. Add me as Punk_Goddess on that site if ya want. I'll beat your ass in any word game coz of my OCD talent)

Muchas Gracias Amigos!

Have a great vacation you guys, try not to burn your school down. (By accident is acceptable).
It's time to say goodbye...

The Climb

"I can almost see it, that dream I am dreaming. But there's a voice inside my head saying 'You'll never reach it.' But I gotta keep trying. Gotta keep my head held high... There's always gonna be another mountain, I'm always gonna wanna make it move. Always gonna be a uphill battle sometimes I'm gonna have to lose. Ain't about how fast I get there, ain't about what's waiting on the other side... It's the climb." - The Climb by Miley Cyrus

As much as I dislike Chipmunk Cyrus, and the rest of her Hannah Montana croonies, you gotta admit that this song actually makes a lot of sense. Let's face it, the year is almost over and most of you probably haven't even looked twice at your last New Year's resolutions list. With that in mind, it's time to move on and simply appreciate what's left of the end of another decade. (Not that I've been through too many, mind you. I'm not that old...)

I have 41 days (according to the SMS Damelin sent me) before my schooling career (or prison sentence) is over. That's it. 41 days. And 4 days before finals start. 4 days before the pressure sinks in, and it's time to start building walls of steel and dedication. Yesterday was my school's D-day/4 day Celebration thing for the Matrics, where the girls dress as guys and vice versa, coupled with underage drinking and incognito making-out. And of course, yours truly wasn't allowed to go for the "event" if you can call it that, because, according to yours truly's dad, "I should be using the time to study and improve my dismal Physics and Maths marks." So while my friends were roaming the school dressed as confused transvestites, I was at home exploring the alluring complexity that is Linear Programming and Logarithms. Needless to say, I was slightly upset - especially when I saw the online photos taken yesterday at school. It looked like so much of fun...

Moving on to greener pastures, my Physics mark for preliminary exams was... SUCKISH. LOL I won't lie; my sister got a distinction in Physics but not Maths when she graduated. I am going to get a distinction in Maths, but let's face it - NOT IN SCIENCE. And the funny thing was, when the letter from one of the universities came in September that I was rejected from Medicine (even though when I applied, my marks were good) I was shockingly relieved. I wasn't even disappointed that I was rejected, I was... indifferent. If I could help it, I'd pack up my things and head to the enthralling place known as Hollywood, and become a Script Writer & Film Producer. I. Am. A. Movie. Fanatic. But let's face it - I can't help it and you're not a billionaire. I have know idea where I'm going to study next year, which university is going to accept me, and what life is going to bring. I'm the academic runner-up in my grade, and yet I'm dead scared of the unknown.

Do you know what it's like to have so much expected of you your whole life, but not get much credit after you've achieved it? I used to feel upset about this: When people who achieved one A after they graduated were promised a car by their parents, and yet there I was, balancing on a tight rope with 7 As to boast for, with nothing but a mere "Good job" and a pile of chores to count for. It used to faze me, but then Charlie Chick told me to start doing things for myself, and not to impress other people. Because one day, when I'm really successful, all those people are going to feel terrible for not supporting me when they had reason to.

But I'm still here - this life. An indefinite future. And an empty postbox craving the attention of an acceptance letter... It's as if I just reached a new revelation: Twelve years of being a top academic scholar, the fastest female athlete in Junior high and a hefty file full of certificates. And what do I have to show for it?

And that's the imminent problem with aiming too high...

Current Music: You guys have to check out Cash Cash's new elctronic/rock single, "Red Cup (I Fly Solo)" It's sooo amazing!!! Oh, and catchy, and all the other stuff.

Current Mood: Confused. Don't ask why. I'm confused as to why.

Current Quote: "I don't think of what might happen, only what must be done." - Lucius Hunt from The Village, when asked why he is always so fearless.

Ooh, I have a new, recently-discovered talent but maybe I'll tell you in a later note.

Until next time
MEEE (Sorry if you were waiting for someone else LOL)

"Step back gonna come at ya fast, I'm driving out of control and getting ready to crash. Won't stop shaking up what I can, I serve it up in a shot so suck it down like a man..." Kind of a disappointing song, even for Christina Aguilera, but the title fits.

Let's see, I promised you updates of the past two weeks, and here they are:
Life seems to keep getting better. Not in an outrageously good way, but it's the tiny things that matter, right? Save for the part where my blog account got lost and they had no trace of me so just logging in to make a new blog post took forever. But other than that, I'm good.

So, on July 16 was my birthday and it was a freezing school day. However, I have the best of friends and the most wonderful registration class, so everybody made it one of the best days of the year! Thanks guys!!! (^_^) Lots of prezzie - coupled with lots of singing, hugging and laughing made the weekend to follow a good one.

On the 23rd was the beyotch's birthday and my dad and I were running around crazy organising everything and preparing for the family to come over. That was also a nice day with yours truly entertaining everybody in her usual crazy way.
Oh, but just the part that's starting to worry me is that since my sister left, father dearest seems to be drinking more and more everyday and spending more and more money with each paycheck. Like, he already took us (mother and me) to Thailand - my first time overseas - for our birthdays. They got me a cellphone voucher (which I still have to happily redeem) PLUS a new perfume. Now, my dad got her very very very very very expensive (Like, you could pay the rent on your apartment for the next 3 months expensive) ruby earrings. Rubies, being the July birthstone. AND he topped that with a dishwasher. A dishwasher!!! And all she got him for his 50th in April was a genuine leather jacket. Am I like the only kid in the world concerned with finances in this recession, or is that whole concept just lost on my seemeingly mindless parentals???

In other news, Psycho Arrow's birthday tomorrow should make the headlines, so we'll see how that goes. I still have to get him a present.

Lady Ayaka thinks she should start speaking to her ex again (after three months of the silent treatment on both parts) and shockingly, he too has started to speak to me again. Unfortunately, he still acts like an ass to me everytime he opens his mouth and that invisible sock I threw flies in. Oh well, I have +/- four months of school left, so I'll just have to grin and bear him, I mean his ego, urgh! I mean being in school for a while... yeah, that's what I mean. (Rolls eyes)

My report was good, in my opinion, but of course my genius Physics dad wanted to hear nothing of the 83% average I attempted. Oh well, you can't impress them all. And now the folks are telling me that I should consider giving up my dream of becoming a doctor (due to my apparently horrible marks) and apply to be a chiropractor. A freaking chiropractor!!! When I was small, I used to think that chiros are failed medical students wiht no brains. I've since changed my opinions of course, seeing that they make a lot of money. But the whole concept of surgery is just so appealing to me than curing someone's backache on a lab table with my bare hands. And my parents only suggested being a chiropractor because I'm the best, and only masseur in the family.

Life is good coz I found that cute gold ribbon wire (that's smaller than 2cm) that I lost on my birthday (and have been desperately looking for) because Charlie Chick took it from me when I was opening the birthday gift box it was attached to. Miraculously, I opened the dog food cupboard and newspapers from 2008 until 2010 came flooding out. It was like an ocean of black-and-white came spewing from the depths of the Atlantic Times. It was when I packing away the newspapers (and my poor starving dog was waiting for his food) that I found the ribbon. A packing job that took me half an hour was worth finding something so tiny. Only showing that no matter how crappy things get, it'll always work out in the end. If things don't work out, it's not the end honey...

Current Mood: Expecting nothing and implying nothing like Benjamin from Aniaml Farm. Hoping it keeps getting better yet knowing that all good things must come to an end.

Current Music: Nothing, in a big rush as usual.

Current Quote: "Everyone has a photographic memory. Some people just don't have film..."

Forty days (until grade 12 trial exams) started on Friday amidst the egg-throwing and condomising efforts of the Matric group. Nice effort guys, but you need to up the game. Make it more exciting, even stickier than last year and less obvious that you're throwing the goods by NOT standing in a large group of twenty to thirty boys. DUH!!! If you're going to do something legendary, PLEASE do it legendarily...

I have to go run and have supper/food pisoning/most proabably curry since I'm fasting today (yuck).

Bye Bye Muchachos

Now Muchachos make some real good food......... ;)

Keeps Gettin' Better

The Way The World Works

"There's so much in life that's undecided, there's so much trouble that's uninvited.
And only so much you can control."
Okay, the above title is a slow track from Pixie Lott and just basically sums up the universe, love and life in one song. Oh yeah, and me being a true blue klutz.
Let's start from the beginning:
This past June/July holiday was the long-awaited Soccer World Cup, but yours truly was stuck in Winter school for one cold week with a bunch of other sespods. And then, for another week I was loafing around and staying at random family members.

Oh, and here's the best (or slightly worst) part: My parents dragged me overseas with them for the first time. And guess where our crazy plane was headed? Thailand. And against my will nonetheless. This is an actual conversation of what I said to my dad:
Prison Guard (Dad): Mummy and I are taking you to Thailand for your 18th birthday and her 50th birthday.
Me: Um... if it's just the three of us then I don't want to go.
PG: Why? It will be a nice experience, seeing another country different from ours...
Me: No, it's just... because I'll be on my own and it'll be boring.
PG: But there's so much to do, like swimming at the beach and shopping.
Me: Dad, urgh! You know I hate shopping!
PG: Did you know that THE BEACH, starring Leonardo DiCaprio was shot in Phuket?

The usual arguing and screaming at each other that me and my parents do continued normally for a week.

Me: Fine! if you're going to keep speaking to me like that, then I'm not going with you to Thailand! It's my birthday present and you can't force me to go with you against my will!
PG: I don't care what you want! You're coming to Thailand with us whether you like it or not!

After that, I had to tell Charlie Chick that once again I will be missing her birthday, and that was very hard for me to do because it seems like I always let her down in thee circumstances.

28 June, 2010 - Day before her birthday. Got on plane. Ate all the food. Saw a hot punk-rocker. Witnessed heaven on earth, ageless sunsets and mystifying clouds as the plane ascended from South Africa.

When I got off the plane in the Bangkok airport, we got on a bus and headed straight to the hotel - what a long drive! I was told to have a shower, after not having slept for 24 hours straight and suffering from asthma in the high humidity of Bangkok. Oh, and I never ate for 16 hours after that because all my parentals wanted to do was visit temples. Anyone that knows me, knows that temples are like dark times for me. We got back to the hotel the next morning, after having walked around Bangkok and sightseeing the entire day. It was about 2am when I got into bed and at 5am I had to get up. I didn't sleep at all due to Jet Lag and Time differnces.
The next day, at about 7am we were off again. I hadn't slept for 48 hours (the longest I have ever been without sleep) and once again I had to beg my dad by lunch time to buy me food. This holiday was not off to a good, or even okay start.

The next day I was on a plane off to Phuket and I tried to sleep for the one hour flight on the plane but nothing kicked in. We arrived in Phuket amidst rainstorms and traffic, and when we arrived at the hotel, there were geckos and lizards all over the walls. Yeah, you guessed it. I'm not afraid of spiders or snakes or even flying on a plane. Heck, I rode an elephant by myself. I am freaking scared of lizards. And they were everywhere!!! This was going from bad to worse.

The positive higlights of my holiday:
- Thai is a beautiful language and the culture is even more exquisite.
- The humidity actually curled my hair nicely.
- Thai people are extremely friendly, calm, patient and pure of heart. They are so proud to share thier country with you, and everybody is so helpful!
- The food is fantastic! And they have transport and communication systems so advanced it would make I ROBOT weep. I mean, they have lorries that speak, narrators in the trains, on-call policemen and a uniform work ethic. If the whole move-to-America thing doesn't work out, then I'm definitely moving to Phuket!
- I did go to Phi Phi Island - where the movie, THE BEACH was shot. On the same day I rode an elephant, tasted awesome ice-cream, went quad-biking, swam in crystal clear water, saw dolphins in the ocean, went rocky white river rafting, also went snorkeling on two different locations, swam with sea urchins and anemone, and visited the cashew factory!
- The next day I sat in a boat with a hot Australian guy my age, saw the infamous James Bond Island and Ice-Cream cave!!!!!

Okay, now those were the parts I REALLY liked! Actually, to think about it, the only hot guys I saw were foreigners; Spanish, Aussie, British, American, Brazilian.... ;) you name it honey - Thailand has it! And the shopping, needless to say - and I'll probably deny it if you ever ask me - was great! Thailand makes shopping fun. I can't believe I just said that. Anybody who knows me knows that I'd rather run around in the sprinklers, do crazy sports or play X-box than go shopping. Wowie...

On my last day, I told my dad that I didn't want to go swimming in the Phuket beach because we had to pack for the flight home. So, there I was, swimming in the beach. I was trying to swim away from these two really creepy foreign men who were coming closer and closer to me. I was like, "Yo! I saw the movie Taken and this creepy stuff right here ain't on with me dudes." And I was in the deep end. That was when I got stung by a jellyfish, and there's another long story there but this blog entry is long enough. If you know me, and want to know the story, just ask coz it's really funny and klutzy. What you should know is that the tentacles got wrapped around my left arm and also on my entire left leg and foot. Ow... it still hurts or itches when you touch it and that happened more than ten days ago...

There shall be more about the past two weeks coming soon...

Current Mood: Neutral? Kind of like Vaseline? LOL

Current Music: The unusual sighing of my CPU and Pixie Lott's cool song, "Jack". It's catchy.

Current Quote: "Ow, my fellyjish (jellyfish) bite is itching again... I hate this."
Also, "I shall call him (meaning the jellyfish) Squeeshy and he shall be mine! Muhahahahaha..."

TUNE IN BECAUSE: In the next episode of Freaking Happy, the Sarcastic Soul documents her and Lady Ayaka's 18th birthdays. The Witch Bitch gets older and the Sarcastic Soul learns that balloons and that guy Silver Eyes are strangely attracted to her hair. Based on true stories...

Bye for now

Forever Young

Life is going too fast. It's speeding up, and I don't know how to stop it. In three months I'll have started serious exams and then finals are just around the corner. I'm singing the Cash Cash cover version of Forever Young, hoping that it will make time stop, but it just seems to take up more of my ever-short time.

"Maybe we can stay and dance for a while, heaven can wait we're going out in style. Baby we can change our lives tonight... So let us die young or let us live forever, with nights like these that we will always remember. Boy, we're gonna shake this town tonight. Forever young, I wanna be forever young... Do you really wanna live forever???"

Fortunately I - unlike Mahogany and Jason X and Wicked and all of my other friends in my previous school - am almost done with exams. Tomorrow is the dreaded chemistry and then Tuesday, I am finito! Weirdly enough, Jason X is also writing Chemistry tomorrow, so this is where the story starts:

Okay, people have been teasing me with some other guy in another school, and Jason X and Psycho Arrow the whole week, so I've had a denial-filled existence so far, you could say. And then on Friday after school, my Nee-Chan, Lady Ayaka left me alone with Psycho Arrow and yeah.... People would not leave us alone. Aaand my parents saw him hug me when I left school and they too went on about it the whole evening. On Friday as well, Wicked phoned and asked if he could study Chemistry with me even though I dislike studying with other people because I can't focus. And, truth be told, my school has not even done the same work yet, so ya. That was my excuse.

Then, on Saturday night, Psycho and I spoke until midnight, which was when I wished him HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY to him and his girlfriend. That same night, his "best friend" (let's call him Silver Eyes from now on) asked if he could study Chemistry with me today (Sunday). I don't know, that just crushed me. Like, I know I have brains, but sometimes I feel like that's all I'm good for. Like that's all people ever want from me. Use me just to help them pass life... But, of course, I said no because I was supposed to go out today anyway.

Then, just as I thought I was home free, I woke up this morning and had a lazy day. I had just washed my hair and finally got down to Physics, when Jason X phoned and asked my mother if he and his brother could study at my house because he had visitors at his house. So, my parents actually left me alone with Jason X for once. I kinda had fun time in a study-way. And they left this evening. Oh, and when he wasn't studying, we spoke alot and he too started teasing me with Psycho Arrow. And last night Jason X told me that he had a crush on one of his best friends, who also happens to be Charlie Chick's friend! And she likes him too!!! Haha, so now people can stop teasing me with him. So yeah, I too was teasing him the whole day with her.

Later on today, Charlie Chick dropped by to give me a money-envelope for our transport driver, and lipgloss-lips, ass-faced Robert Pattinson is on TV as Twilight is playing, so here I am. Now you're updated. And now Psycho Arrow thinks that I have a crush on some guy in another school that I used to speak to (because Ayaka told him that on Friday and he was asking me about it).

Current Music: "My Moves Are White, (White Hot That Is)" by Cobra Starship. It's a hot, funny song. =) You should check it out.

Current Mood: I'm freezing my ass off here in the study! So, hmmm.... Arctic?

Current Quote: "Let me be the subject of your distraction..." This was supposed to be a new song, but I've had writer's block for like five months now, so nevermind. It's my line, so don't steal it.

And this is to my crazy friend, Ayaka: I just read your blog (finally!) and it was so cool! I loved all the outfits, and I totally laughed when that chick that was stalking Psycho Arrow on Friday said that you had no taste in fashion. Seriously, I love your clothes and the dresses you bought! Where did you even get them? And yeah, I've known something was up but I knew you wouldn't tell me. But, actually, I've been having the same doubts, and I too want to take a gap year, but I've already applied everywhere. =( And you know what I think?

Dude, you are an amazing person and a free-spirited soul, and I can see that this is eating you up. My advice, speak to your mum - she'll understand. You've only got one life to live, so make it count! Go to Tokyo and take awesome pics - I'll even buy you the camera for your birthday! You should definitely take a gap year, because Medicine is like twelve years, and you'll never get another chance! Also, I can see that you're kinda feeling regrets for stuff, so speak to your parentals and travel the world. THEN go and study Medicine - otherwise you won't be in the right frame of mind or willing to work. Like Confucius say, "SCREW THE MASSES!!!"
Oh wait... pssh! That's ME! Hehe...

"Baby we can sing our way through time, these minutes are ours gotta make them shine. This ticking from a clock up in the sky. Cause I wanna be forever young... Do you really want to live forever?"

I gotta go sleep and then get my ass whipped by an exam tomorrow. Goodnight people of the world. Don't let the bed monster bite... =) ♥ ;)
Maybe we can stay and dance for a while...
Heaven can wait ----->
WE'RE GOING OUT IN STYLE!!!!! ;)

Our Time Is Here

"Gone are the days of Summer. We couldn't change it if we tried. But why would we want to? Let's go where we gotta. Our paths will cross again in time. Our time is here..."
A catchy tune off the Camp Rock soundtrack by Demi Lovato. This is Matric baby! The pressure starts now. This is the final chapter in a book I like to call "High School." Summer is offcially over. It is now the beginning of Autumn. Well, last month to be exact. The point is, I've realised that it's time to make a change.

Read till the very end.

(I've written this blog with the few good songs I salvaged in March, as my PC broke 3 weeks ago. I hope the title fits. Not to mention I had to retype this entire blog due to non other than a computer failure that occurred just now. It sucks being an unlucky klutz).

Okay, well alot has happened in the past I-don't-know-how-many months. I'm not in the right mind to rephrase all the past events, so I'll sum up April-May:
♥ For one, my PC totally crashed - that was the painfully ending part to my busy week and all my iTunes music got deleted.
♥ The day that my computer went conked was my Grade 12 Farewell Dance, and that was outrageously fun. Hmmm... what else? Oh yes, Lady Ayaka and her "boyfriend" broke up, much to his shocked and stupefied dismay. Gypsy Girl left my school and went back to her hometown. Charlie Chick and her new boyfriend are on a break. Oh yeah, I also took Jason X as my partner to the dance, and to this day everybody in my classes are still going on about it and what a cute couple we made. Yay - not. I've heard that song too many times...
♥ Sunday was Mother's Day and obviously, the Witch Bitch had to ruin it - seeing that it was a day of celebration in her honour of course.
♥ And lastly, Ayaka and I have recently become close friends with her ex-boyfriend's so-called "frenemy." From now onwards we shall call him "Psycho Arrow." How the name arose is a really long and funny story, but there are more important things to discuss. All I know is that from now onwards he may start to play a big part in this blog. Well, actually, he is the reason she and I have been going to bed at 1am on school nights in my final year of high school.

I don't know... I've been putting off writing for a while now, but then my mother came into the TV room and made me switch to a program she never watches, even though I was busy watching the series "Ten Things I Hate About You." Like always, she peeved me off and I was totally bored so here we are now; making love on the bathroom floor like some cheap Shaggy song.

I though I'd just update you on stuff before the June exams start in May (Don't even ask about June exams in MAY. This is South Africa) in two weeks. Also, due to the 2010 Soccer World Cup, everything is being moved up . Yes, I said soccer, not football. Bite me.

Almost every girl in school wants Jason X's number because he looked "So freaking hot!" in the dance photos. Yes, of course I'll give him your number you eighth grade freak.

As I was saying, I think it's time to make a change. I am going to try and not let my so-called parents get to me. I am going to aim for eight distinctions at the end of the year. I am going to get into a good - no, great - Medical School. This is my final year of what has been an awkward, painful, yet somewhat adventurous and entertaining 12 year journey. In five months it will all be over for good. Oh, and here's the shocker of the century: May is the halfway point for the end of the year. 5 months, that's it. And then I have to write my finals, bugger off and get pregnant in some varsity dorm. I'm kidding. I meant in a varsity flat.

So make the most of it.
Salvage every moment this year.
Finally, OUR time is HERE.
Here's to the Matrics of 2010!!!

=)

Waterloo =D

“Waterloo - knowing my fate is to be with you. Waterloo - finally facing my waterloo…” An infamous song by the 70s pop group, ABBA. Also known as a main battle for Napolean (wonder if it too was about a lavatory...) These were the thoughts of a many residents in my city, where their water was shut down for 2 days – in short, no fresh food, bathing… or toilet water. Singing this song when the water comes back….

Hey, hello once again, invisible readers. Well, not much has happened except Diwali was two weeks ago, and we didn’t celebrate (thankfully) because we had three deaths in my family, and when someone dies in the Hindu community it means that your life must shut down because they’re dead and can’t celebrate anything. So basically we don’t celebrate anything for the next 365 days after their death. Oh joy…. Fasting totally sucked, because this year it ended the day before Diwali, so it was really a long struggle to eat meat. Oh, and I must tell you about my klutzy ways, especially the stupid sh*t that I did in the week of Diwali.
So, our sadistic municipality decided to shut down the water for 2 days in some random places in my city. So basically there was no water for their toilets, as the bitches in school were saying, hence the Waterloo song. I was watching TV on a Wednesday when our maid (whom I’m officially at war with, but that’s another story) came into the room and told me that our Egyptian neighbours received a phone call stating that our water was going to get cut. Here’s what happened:

Me: “Oh…. Okay…”

Her: “Ya, okay I’m going.”

Me: “Cut our water?! When?”

Her: “Now.”

People, that TV was switched off faster than you could say apple.bottom.jeans! I ran to the kitchen and desperately filled pots and jugs with water, all the while glancing at the microwave clock. I literally filled every single water bottle, jug and pots in that kitchen, including the kettle, and my grandfather filled two huge ass buckets with water too. I ran to go wash my hair in like five minutes, and as soon as I came out I continued filling items with water and covering them – with my dripping hair and soggy towel on. Meanwhile, the people in my house (and my visiting younger cousins) were looking at me like I was crazy, and like totally calm as if it was gonna be okay that they were gonna stink for the next two days. And my cousins were playing outside, getting sweaty and smelly – even though their water was shut off for three days already! Like, ew, dude! So anyway, we waited and waited, and they never cut it (fortunately) and I remember thinking to myself, “All we need now to make up for not getting our water cut is a power outage.” And guess what? Four hours later, the electricity cables in my street were stolen. I swear Murphy was an optimist….

Things at home aren’t that bad (LOL who am I kidding? My family makes the Osbournes look sane). It’s just one big fight after another, because it’s my fault I can’t see the future, smell chores or read minds. Sigh, but what can you do? Oh, and I wrote two new songs, not like it's gonna get me anywehre.... And like other stuff is happening with Hiro’s cousin and Chatz – they are finally going out! It was like a scene from Sex and the City, when that woman found out her friend was going to get married – finally. I literally screamed of joy on the inside. AND they had their first kiss! Sorry, I’m a hopeless romantic. Even with Charlie – no idea what’s going on with her love life, only time will tell. And with Hiro and Mahogany – apparently it’s non-existent now… And with Hiro’s other cousin and Jason X – like I said, I can’t see the future. And there are three sisters that are Hiro’s cousins. One is with Chatz, the other may be with Jason X – all we need now is a triplet bond with another guy friend of mine. Joy….

Exams are starting in two weeks for me, and so far, the timetable the government gave us sucks like a leech. Either way, I’m being optimistic (or trying to) with all the other occasional fights going on. Cos, the more you run from conflict, the sweatier you’ll be when it finally manages to slow you down and smack you on the head.

Current Mood: Unperturbed, which is unlike an energetic maniac like me =)

Current Music: “Work” by The Saturdays. This song just makes me want to get up and dance!
Current Quote: “Friendship is like peeing on yourself: Everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.” Hehe….. =)

Stand Up - or sit down and shut up

"Stand up, stand up. I’m trying hard to be myself again…" – Melee: An awesome turn-of-the-century soft rock band, implementing piano beats and electronic melodies.
A lot has happened, just basic small things that I didn’t think were worth mentioning in individual posts, but rather as a collection in one blog। The holidays began on the 23 September and I found out a renewed secret about one of my friends, whose name I shall not mention। Oh, and we’ve been fasting for almost two weeks, come tomorrow. My dad's cousin passed away on Saturday so that means that I’m gonna fast on meat for another 16 days, oh joy। One more month of no-meat Tuesdays, and I’m ready to convulse my insides. =) Care to watch? Just kidding, although that convulsing part does sound appealing now… Oh, and no to mention that my dad and I argue continuously over small things, mostly on the part of him, because everything is my fault. I’m not kidding, listen to this:
Exhibit A: My dad will walk down the stairs coming my granny’s house, then see me and tell me to go up and fetch her pressure machine. Or, we’ll be sitting in the television room and it’s raining heavily outside and it’s dark and late at night, and they tell me I must go outside and walk upstairs and lock up her house. Or they bring visitors home and they say, “She will make tea for you.” Then my mother will disappear into her bedroom, and my dad into his music lounge, and I’m left to explain to the visitors why there are no more biscuits for them, and I’m left to make eight cups of tea and three cups of coffee, and entertain adults four times my age.
Oh, oh, this is a good one, Exhibit B: When it’s light outside, which is sometimes five O’clock, I mustn’t switch on the lights, but when it’s five O’ five, and the lights aren’t switched on, then my TV privileges are taken away, and I’m becoming satanic। Satanic I tell you! LOL And if I don’t want to do Physics and Maths homework in the holidays, then I can’t watch TV। My dad wants me to do one module (That’s over 100 pages) of Physics daily। And I never hear the end of it। And I'm gonna say sorry to to my friends Jason X, Wicked, Charlie and everyone else, that if you call or visit me no one answers। We are probably home, my parents are either reading or watching TV and I’m in the bathroom trying to have a bath while they’re too lazy to answer the phone। I apologize for that... One more complaint and I promise I’ll be satisfied: There are papers all over the kitchen floor, the DVD’s that my parents watched are all over the house, the toys that my cousins played with are messed everywhere, my parents had a rough day at work, the phone is not working, my granny left the TV on the whole day, it’s raining, the dog ran out, the neighbours are making noise, the phone was not answered, the electricity bill is high and I wasn’t at home…। It’s my fault। He (my dad) wouldn’t even let me see my sister today, to help her move to her own apartment। Because my parents are using me to lure her back home, by rpeventing her from seeing me ever again. Wait, hold on, I have to go feed the dog before I get in trouble for leaving the windows to the outside open. Be right back……………………………….....................................................................................................................................……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Back, and avoiding that old grump. My mother’s not even at home, and she’s being nicer to me than he is, which is really saying something.
Right, oh and I forgot to mention that my cousin’s cousin who’s not related to me (Thank heavens!) has started stalking me again (since I was 14), but this time it’s getting really uncomfortable and weird. (I shall show you a message on Monday Charlie). And luckily I didn’t go for my dad’s cousin’s funeral on Sunday, because he (stalker dude) was there. Luckily he lives 656 kilometers away! Phew! The only thing keeping me from running away is my lovely bedroom, and from crying and bashing my head into a tombstone is the fact that it could have been so much worse, and even though I now live in utter fear from my parents at home, I am grateful that I at least have a home and wonderful friends who think I’m exaggerating about all this, but they’re still there at least. Because I could have been a hooker by day and a teenage cook for my family at night, living on the dog’s scraps. But I’m fortunately not, and I’d rather get swearing for every little thing I do and be put down emotionally by my family and called stupid in front of my friends by my dad than any other way, because even through all this, I still feel blessed. And what Charlie Chick told me, that whatever happens in the end I am going to be successful, and whatever they said wouldn’t matter anymore, no matter how much they try and tell me I can’t do it, when I’m eventually successful, all of that won’t matter. So take it from me, no matter how hard it gets, you do what you gotta do to keep on surviving. Because, just because they are your parents, it doesn’t mean whatever they’re doing is right. But if I have to live in a house of conflict just to get into a good university in two years, then that’s what I gotta do. Because success is measured by what you had to give up to obtain it, and I’m gonna give up twelve years of my life and happiness, so that in the end, I can become a doctor and move out of this god forbidden country.

And speaking of Charlie Chick, she went to a local pool resort this weekend that passed, and I can’t wait to hear all about it! I’m missing her so much. And yesterday my parents, granny and I went to a mall to watch Fame, but the tickets were sold out and the movie company forgot to release that information. But I saw lots of hot guys there – mostly Indian (Bonus!!!) and I must say, it wouldn’t have been the same without Charlie there. But at least I saw Wicked as well, and for a few minutes we spoke. I’m serious, this navy BMW pulled up in front of me, and I swear it was like a movie. This really hot guy stepped out with his sister (I hope she was just his sister, LOL) and I mean, that was just at the entrance to the mall! Charlie says she was there as well, but I didn’t see her. I didn’t even know when she was getting back from that resort, but she returned a long time ago. I’m such a crappy friend. Sorry Charlie!
And I didn’t even get to see my sister today, cos of my parents. Oh joy.

Current Mood: I have no clue; I think I’m strangely happy.

Current Music: Nothing, before that man of a father swears me. But I got Agness, “Release Me” in my head. Cool tune. I wonder why, sounds very familiar to now…. Oh and for some reason that song reminds me of the colour lilac or purple, I don't know why.

Current Quote: “It’s only human to want to kill a beautiful thing…”
Oh, and I’m thinking of the song I wrote like last year, which pops into my head when I feel like my life sucks. It’s about realising that you should just move on, because it could be worse, and that you should find someone whom you can talk to and not hide what’s bothering you. LOL like me; when I’m down, I post my feelings on this lame blog for the whole world to see. LOL just kidding.

I gots to go do something productive, like my dad wanted me to make fries for lunch today, and didn’t tell me, then I got in trouble because he whispered it to the gardener outside the gate in another country and I didn’t hear but was somehow supposed to. Sorry God, my bad…

Three things I’ve learned today:
1. Always assume that when the DVD’s are left out, I must put all of them away, and accept all swearing I receive either way, for either putting them away or not doing that when I was supposed to.
2. Close the curtains and switch on the house lights only when it’s almost dark outside, and feed the dog momentarily. Get up 8am before they awake and watch as much TV as possible, eat breakfast and go on Facebook.
3. Get up early on the weekend, clean up after parents, neaten the TV room, make bed, do not have breakfast, wash dishes, wipe dishes, pack away dishes, offer parents tea or coffee, clean their utensils, bath dog, do not go on computer, allow parents to watch TV, make lunch for family, do not have a bath, always answer phone, do not go to the toilet, become psychic and know when the doorbell is about to ring and answer it, entertain guests, brush hair and do not ask for help with regards Physics.

Oh, and very important for anyone who wants to trade their life with me for a day: Never, and I mean ever, ask my parents to play Scrabble or cards with you, because even though they complain to visitors that I’m always in my room, which is actually not true, they want to believe that I don’t like spending time with them. So, when you do ask them to play a board game with you, which I do daily, they will scream at you saying that they had a hard they at work or that they’re busy and I must go away.

LOL it actually makes me laugh at the irony of the situation. I spend my whole life hearing my parents tell me to find myself, but now they tell me to get lost. That stalker dude gives me more attention than them, so I think I’ll go now and make supper or else…

Night Lads and Lasssies. And please, I know tonight’s blog sounds pathetic and pitiful, but believe me, I’m still happy. Ask Charlie, I’m like the walking happy emoticon that poops butterflies. LOL night guys, enjoy what’s left of the holidays =)

P.S., Wicked, Jason X and all the other people, when are we meeting up? Let me or Charlie know when and where. Thanks, I love you guys and I’m missing you alot! =)
